Workshops
Everything in nature is made up of 5 basic elements: earth, water, fire, air and space. The 5 Universal Principles of Alignment of Anusara yoga give us a powerful way to know the elements in our bodies, our minds, and our hearts, and to transform our practice in a deep, healthy, therapeutic way. This is a mixed level workshops: all yoga students are warmly invited.
The Sessions
10:00 – 12:45: An introduction to the 5 elements and the Principles of Alignment through an active practice of Surya Namaskar, Standing Poses, Handstand, and Backbends.
14:15 – 17:00: Going deeper into it all with a practice of hip-openers, forward bends and twists, concluding with pranayama and meditation.
Jayendra Hanley
Jayendra has studied and practiced hatha yoga and meditation for over 30 years, the last 20 with the founder of Anusara yoga, John Friend. Currently living in Holland, he offers weekend workshops, weeklong retreats, and 2-year teacher training programs to dedicated Anusara yoga students throughout Europe. Students enjoy the clarity and depth of his instructions and his light, fun style.
